Privacy Policy — Capsule

Last updated: June 9, 2026

Capsule ("the app," "we," "us") is a personal wardrobe assistant currently distributed as a beta for testing and feedback. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and your choices. By using the app, you agree to this policy.

Information We Collect

We collect only what the app needs to function:

We do not collect location, contacts, or advertising identifiers, and the app contains no third-party advertising.

How We Use Your Information

Your information is used solely to operate the app's features: storing and displaying your wardrobe, auto-tagging items, generating outfit recommendations from items you own, and detecting near-duplicate items. We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Third-Party Processing

To provide its features, the app sends data to the following service providers, who process it on our behalf:

These providers process data according to their own terms and privacy policies. We share only what is necessary for the feature to work.

Data Storage and Security

Your data is stored in our Supabase backend. Access is restricted so that you can only view and manage your own items, enforced through database-level security rules. Passwords are stored only in hashed form and are never visible to us.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your items and account data are retained while your account is active. You can delete individual items from within the app. To delete your account and all associated data, contact us at the email below and we will remove it.

Children's Privacy

Capsule is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to This Policy

As this is an evolving beta, we may update this policy. Material changes will be reflected by the "Last updated" date above.
